This is dedicated to all my lovely friends,their love and immense care they have showered upon me and specially my brother who has been the Best of the Best.
I remember of an old adage of school days, "Friendship is a ship which ferries friends in turbulent and calm seas of life and sails them through making the bond stronger than ever".Theres a family in addition to your family in the world outside.The moment, parents make a child enter into the stage of Educating Self,he/she enters into a world which is very new and the nascent individual takes time adjusting to this different world without parents and dear ones.It is here that the culmination of a family outside family,i.e friends and relations
take place.The individual is now with his group of pals matching his frequency,habits and built."Birds of the same breed flock together".This is where we know the importance of bonds and relations which we share for life.The relations stitched with thread of love and care than by the bond of blood.We grow as an individual,meet several people, have acquaintances but very few good friends who stand by us in all our times and are there to lend a helping hand when we are on the brink of fall in life.Afterall, its not only about "A friend in need being a
friend indeed" but realising the worth of your pal and caring for him/her."I may not be able to help you solve all your problems but ofcourse I will not allow you to face them alone",a friend wrote to me.Friendship teaches us the true meaning of words "TRUST" and "FAITH" which are otherwise good only in dictionary.We confide in our friends and true friends will never disappoint you.So the base of any friendship is the trust you put in the relation.Afterall , when KK sung "Yaaron Dosti, yahi zindagi hai.Ye na ho to phir kyaa zindagi hai"(Friendship is Life), he extracted the crux.
However, the bond suffers a blow when we start taking our friends for granted,hurt their trust and faith in us and after that even though the bond may be reconciled but the KNOT remains.
It is this set of friends and relations which act as our Family outside our Family and help us grow as an individual,are with us in all walks of life,make us realize our worth and guide us.
I have been lucky to have such great friends and relations which I will cherish for life and I write this thanking them for being besides me when I needed them the most.
